Beauty and Personal Care

Beauty is a lot more that just fixing your hair or swiping some makeup on your face. It is truly an art form. It has so many techniques and products that require a keen eye, precision and a sharp attention to detail. Do you have what it takes? Regardless of your answer, here are some tips to help you.

Use fake eyelashes. They are actually easy to apply and can be found at a cheap price. They can really enhance the look of your eyes and are great for creating that dramatic look. You can use a look like this anytime, but it’s often a look many try to go for at night.

Apply a few tablespoons of sweet almond oil to your warm bath for a relaxing treat that will leave even the roughest, driest skin feeling supple and soft. You can also apply it sparingly to extremely dry and damaged hair – but only on the inch or so above the ends.

Restore shiny gloss to your hair with the use of baking soda. Mix a little bit of baking soda in with your shampoo. Next, wash your hair as your normally do. This will restore your hair’s luster.

Get in some exercise every day.

Keeping your body in constant motion will have you looking healthy and fit. Movement is a requirement in any beauty plan. Between fifteen and twenty minutes of exercise should be conducted on a daily basis. Stay active in any way you can, whether you’re just vacuuming your house or running a couple blocks.

To fix a damaged fingernail,

get a teabag and cut a small piece from it. To begin, take out the tea leaves from the bag. Then cut a little piece from your empty bag. Be sure it’s big enough to completely cover the tear. Finally, place this piece on top of the tear, and paint over it with clear nail polish.

If you already have skin problems,

you need to be especially careful when selecting make up to not worsen the situation. Avoid make ups with any oil in them, and sparingly use moisturizers, foundations, eye makeup, and blushes labeled oil free. Also look for products that does not close your pores.

Avoid licking your lips.

When you constantly lick your lips, rather than become moist, they actually dry out. Try carrying a lip balm or gloss in your pocket or purse, and put it on anytime you feel like doing some licking. You will soon find your lips in beautiful condition.

Avoid commercial “body butters” that contain chemicals,

dyes and additives. All natural walnut oil or peanut oil make wonderful all-over body moisturizers. They are very inexpensive and are scent free. If you want scent, you can add the essential oil of your choice. After your bath, slather walnut or peanut oil on lavishly. Wrap up in an old terry-cloth robe and curl up with a good book or a movie while your moisture treatment soaks in.

To keep your eyeliner from smudging,

apply your eye shadow on top of your eyeliner using a damp cotton wool q-tip. This will help you keep your look for the entire day without your eyeliner coming off or leaving marks under your eyes. Everyone loves how they look when they first apply their eyeliner, and this will keep that look going strong.

When you want to be a beautiful person just taking care of your body is not enough.

You also need to make sure your wardrobe is modern and appropriate. This does not mean you have to buy all the best name brands but that you should take some time to learn how to dress your body type.

If you are like many who have a problem keeping your eyeliner where it is supposed to be,

try applying your eye shadow on top of the eyeliner with a damp cotton ball. It will help to set the liner and keep it in its place longer than it would otherwise.

After waxing any part of your skin,

it is important that you do not take a hot bath or shower right away. This can cause irritation because waxing leaves your pores wide open. Try waiting at least an hour before being exposed to any type of hot water at all.

If a nail break’s as you are leaving to go out and you don’t have time to repair it,

use Super Glue. Dab a small amount of Super Glue over the tear, and paint your nail with your favorite nail polish. Your nail is repaired and you are ready to go out.

Eating a nutrient-rich, balanced diet is one of the best things a person can do in order to look gorgeous.

Proper nutrition will help anyone feel their best. This will cause you to look and feel great.

If you are looking to enhance your complexion and overall beauty,

consider eating foods that are high in antioxidants such as blueberries, cherries and pomegranates. This way, you will increase the properties of the antioxidants that are flowing through your system that will lead to better looking skin over time.

Vitamin H otherwise known as Biotin is an important nutrient for hair growth.

It helps the body convert carbohydrates into energy and assists in metabolizing proteins. Each of these functions facilitates strong, healthy hair growth. Nuts and egg yolks are good and natural sources of biotin.

Liquid and brush-on eyeliners are excellent for bold,

dramatic, and highly precise lines, but they can be very difficult to manage for those who do not have steady hands or years of practice. Instead, opt for eyeliners with felt-tipped applicators. These are far easier to manage and produce a comparably bold and precise line.

Now you see that beauty is a lot more than haphazardly applying products to yourself.

It takes skill and an eye for pleasant aesthetics. You don’t want to look like a hot mess, so why not take some time to learn how to do it right? The above tips should have given you some pointers on how to do that.
